Commissioning Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to all editorial commissions placed by The Telegraph Middle East (Voxora Media Group) with freelance journalists, writers, photographers and other contributors.

Intellectual Property

Upon publication, The Telegraph Middle East acquires first publication rights in all commissioned content. Copyright remains with the contributor unless otherwise agreed in writing. We require a licence to republish and archive content digitally in perpetuity.

Accuracy & Standards

All commissioned content must meet our Editorial Standards. Contributors are responsible for the accuracy of their work and must declare any conflicts of interest.

Payment

Payment rates are agreed individually at the time of commissioning. Invoices should be submitted within 30 days of publication. We pay within 45 days of receipt of a valid invoice.

Rejection

We reserve the right to reject commissioned work that does not meet our editorial standards. A kill fee of 25% of the agreed rate is payable for commissioned work that is rejected for reasons other than factual inaccuracy or breach of these terms.
